WASHINGTON, N.C. -- DAVID E. HERRON, 52, OF PAMLICO RIVER DRIVE, DIED SATURDAY, APRIL 1, 2000, AT BEAUFORT COUNTY HOSPITAL. He was the husband of Audrey Mendoza Herron; they were married 33 years. Born in New Bedford, Mass., the son of Orval and Ruth Hathaway Herron of Washington, he was a 1966 graduate of the American Institute of Baking in Chicago. Mr. Herron was a sales executive at Virginia Dare Extract in Cincinnati. He was a member of Mother of Mercy Catholic Church. Fond of sailing, playing golf and riding motorcycles, he was a member of the Rocky Mount Harley Davidson Chapter. Survivors include his widow; his parents; two daughters, Debra DeHart of Raleigh and Donna Grady of Washington; and two grandchildren. His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel of Hillside Funeral Service, 4500 Highway 264 East.
