DuBois, Richard, A., 74, of Country Street, died peacefully on Saturday December 8, 2007 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Jean C. (Twist) DuBois. Born in Attleboro, MA, a son of the late Henry DuBois and Anne (Doyle) Pearson, he lived in Rehoboth for 49 years. Mr. DuBois was the owner and operator of DuBois Machine Shop, Dighton, MA, for 20 years before retiring in 1995. He was previously a lobsterman for nine years and a Jet Engine Test Cell-Mechanic for the former Quonset Naval Air Station for 18 years until its closing in 1973. He was a former Rehoboth Little League assistant coach. An avid train collector, he was a member of the Train Collectors Association. RichardŁus passion was his mechanic business, woodworking and spending time with his family playing checkers. He enjoyed teaching his grandchildren family values through storytelling. Mr. DuBois was a United States Air Force Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. Besides his wife of 52 years, he is survived by three daughters; Lynn Ann Goff and her husband Earle Goff III of Rehoboth, MA, Laurie Jean Simpson and her husband Eric L. Simpson of Riverside and Lois Beth Cordell and her husband Peter Cordell of Waynesville, NC, a son; Richard A. DuBois and his wife Elise A. DuBois of Dighton, MA, a step-sister; Cynthia McKnight of Warwick, 12 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Calling Hours in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside, on Wednesday December 12, 2007 from 4- 8pm. Private burial will be held in Rehoboth Village Cemetery. Flowers are respectfully omitted.
